 Maxine Mintz Pottier

As a painter I have abandoned easels; and instead paint with wood boards on the floor. I embrace the unexpected brush strokes of color, and often do not see the resulting image until placing the painting upright. I take no efforts to sublimate the mediums, but instead celebrate them, and the resulting images.

I grew up in New York City. This unique environment allowed me to attend youth art classes at MoMA, and roam Galleries and Museums . It promoted the selection of studying and then working in the Arts as an  illustrator, editorial designer and product designer.

My paintings have sold privately in the US and Europe and are often on exhibit.

I have recently moved to California and the physical surrounds have influenced my current painting.
